New Job and a Move (hopefully)

It has been a whirlwind month.  I took three weeks off after I finished working my two-week notice at my previous job.  I spent the first week visiting friends and family.  The final two weeks I spent with the horse and did things around the house that I had previously neglected.  Of course, I did not get nearly a fraction of the things I wanted to do done, but I did accomplish a few things.

In other news, the barn situation has gone down from mediocre to worse.   It has never been much of an issue as I am there most every day, but now it is.  I had really started looking for a new place for the last few months, but I was having no luck.

Let me introduce myself.

Well, I have been lurking for a while and I have posted a few times, so I guess I should introduce myself.  I have been riding since I was small, mainly English, but I have done some western pleasure as well.  At the moment in my life I do not own a horse.  I usually am riding one of my aunt’s young ones, but at the moment I am riding a horse that is being rehabbed in a rescue program.  I have not shown in years (not that I am against it…just too old and out of shape).  So mainly I just ride young horses, but perhaps once our lifestyle changes and we don’t move so much I will delve back into ownership.

This is me and Sedge (school horse) in a costume class.

It was my birthday and my mom made the costume.  She was upset because the little, snotty, spoiled, brat, princess in my lesson (and also in the class) said "you have the ride in the class".  Boy, was the princess mad when we won! :)

Here I am with my first love Bogie.   He was a school horse at the barn I rode at for years (don't you just love the hair?).
